Do not operate the machine without an Operator Manual.
Using the Machine
To use the JCB REVERSIBLE PLATE COMPACTOR DE35-42 efficiently and safely you must know the machine and have the skill to use it. You must abide by all relevant laws, health and safety regulations that apply to the country you are operating in. This manual instructs you on the machine, its controls and its safe operation; it is not a training manual. If you are a new operator, get yourself trained in the skills of using a machine before trying to work with it. If you don’t you will not do your job well, and you will be a danger to yourself and others.
The vibratory plate consists of the following main sub-
– Base plate
– Engine chassis
– Operator handle
– Protective roll bar / lifting frame.
Mounted onto the base plate is the exciter mechanism, which produces the vibrational force.
The engine chassis comprises a supporting frame and a diesel engine. The chassis is suspended above the base plate by the means of rubber buffers to damp vibrations. The engine is connected to the exciter mechanism on the base plate by a centrifugal clutch and a V belt. The operator handle is attached to the engine plate by rubber buffers.
The following extras are available:
– Paving stone protection mat
– Transport Wheel.
Mode of Operation
The exciter mechanism is driven by the engine via a centrifugal clutch and a V belt drive. Putting the speed direction control into forward or reverse brings two exciter shafts into relationship, causing a change in direction. The generated vibration compacts the material.
Note: If the speed/direction control is set in the centre position, the machine operates on the sport (stationary compaction).
The machine is intended solely for the compaction of beds of earth or bituminous construction materials, and for shaking paving into place.
Area of Application
Uses in practice:
– Filling up trenches
– Road construction
– Repair work.
Material which can be compacted:
– Sand, gravel and mixture thereof
