JCB ROADSWEEPER (OWNER MANUAL)

INSTALLING AND REMOVING

Note: Before installing the JCB roadsweeper Refer to the Owners Manual of the appropriate JCB machine for the manoeuvring/operating instructions used in the following procedures.

Installing the Roadsweeper

1 Position the JCB Roadsweeper / Sweeper Collector
Make sure the attachment is accessible to the carrier.

2 Check the Stop Link
The stop link A should be secured in the position shown top right by locking pin B, so that the linkages are prevented from moving during the following procedures.

3 Position the Machine
Drive the machine squarely up to the attachment mounting plate and stop, taking care not to damage the tail hoses and couplings.

4 Engage the Machine Quickhitch
Use the machine controls to engage and Quickhitch to the attachment.

5 Stop the Engine and Make the Machine Safe
Switch off the engine and vent the auxiliary hydraulic circuit pressure by operating the auxiliary control(s) at least six times (refer to the machine Owners Manual).
Remove the starter key.

6 Connect the Attachment Tail Hoses
Make sure that both halves of the quick release couplings are scrupulously clean. Connect up the couplings as described in the machine Owners Manual.

Removing the Roadsweeper

1 Position the JCB Roadsweeper / Sweeper Collector
Lower the attachment to the ground.

2 Stop the Engine and Make the Machine Safe
See Step 5 of Installing.

3 Disconnect the Attachment Tail Hoses
Release the tail hose couplings from the machine pipework as described in the machine Owners Manual.

4 Start the Engine

5 Disengage the Machine Quickhitch
Use the machine controls to unlock and disengage the Quickhitch from the attachment.

6 Reverse the Machine Away from the Attachment
Take care not to damage the tail hoses and couplings.
